Cultural Awareness Workshop- February 23rd, 2010
The Cultural Awareness Workshop saw a great turnout of participants to the Viscount Gort Hotel. Informative and engaging presentations were shared, covering many aspects of community awareness and stereotypes. The workshop also provided many public speaking opportunities. The Congress would like to thank all everyone who had a role in the Workshop, from presenting to planning to participation, for an excellent inaugural event! Kwanzaa with the Congress- December 13, 2009
The Congress of Black Women- Manitoba Chapter Inc. is pleased to report an enthusiastic and supportive turnout at the recent Kwanzaa celebration. Fellowship, food and dun were enjoyed by all. Join us for next year's festivities.

Annual Meeting- April 19, 2009
The Congress of Black Women of Canada (Manitoba Chapter) Annual General Meeting and Elections were held at the Wolseley Family Place (691 Wolseley Avenue across from the Misericordia Hospital.) Call 775-4378 for more information.
Kwanzaa Celebration - December 14, 2008
The Congress of Black Women invited individuals and families in Winnipeg to celebrate Kwanzaa, an African-American Holiday promoting unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. The event was held at Wolseley Family Place and included traditional observances, food, fun and fellowship.
