Thank you to those who participated in the celebration and support of our multi-cultural youth in conjunction with Multiculturalism Day. The social evening and Art Showcase event was a success thanks to all who attended and volunteered. This entertaining event took place at The Forks in Winnipeg MB. We wish all the members, newcomers students / school art programs and professional artists the very best.

December 12, 2010- Kwanzaa
was held once more at Wolseley Family Place, 691 Wolseley. Many kids and adults came out on one of the coldest days of the year to share in fellowship. Food, readings and catching up with each other were enjoyed by all.

Cultural Awareness Workshop- February 23rd, 2010
The Cultural Awareness Workshop saw a great turnout of participants to the Viscount Gort Hotel. Informative and engaging presentations were shared, covering many aspects of community awareness and stereotypes. The workshop also provided many public speaking opportunities. The Congress would like to thank all everyone who had a role in the Workshop, from presenting to planning to participation, for an excellent inaugural event! Kwanzaa Celebration - December 14, 2008
The Congress of Black Women invited individuals and families in Winnipeg to celebrate Kwanzaa, an African-American Holiday promoting unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. The event was held at Wolseley Family Place and included traditional observances, food, fun and fellowship.
