Scholarship Program

The Congress encourages the education and development of Black Women. Annual scholarships were awarded to students enrolled in post secondary education. fundraising is important therefore our events need to be supported within our community and beyond to make the Scholarships possible each year.

CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

1.    Be enrolled full time in, or entering, a program at a recognized Post Secondary Institution.
2.    Must provide a copy of the most recent transcript of academic record .
3.    Write a short biography (not more than one page), including your volunteer experience and accomplishments of note in the Black and wider communities.
4.     Provide a one-page essay explaining the need for this scholarship and how these funds will assist you to further your goals.
5.    Provide two (2) written references: one from your institution of study and the other from a community member.

Scholarship Application Form

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2012

Please note that all cheques will be made payable to the educational Institution which you plan to attend in September 2012 or are currently attending.
Presentation of Scholarship Awards will be made at the Congress’s 31st Anniversary Cultural Unity Dinner and Dance.
